Robert J. “Bob” Saseen, 93, of Wheeling, WV, died Friday, Sept. 15, 2017 in Liza’s Place. He was born Feb. 3, 1924 in Wheeling, a son of the late Shirkey and Helen (Habbee) Saseen. He was a retired Housing Inspector for the City of Wheeling and a part time employee of the Wheeling Civic Center; a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church; a US Army veteran of WWII and a member of the Cave Club.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 8 brothers, Nancepe “Bananas”, Abdo, Joseph, John, George, Philip, Louis and Jerry Saseen and a sister, Mabel “Peaches” George.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Frances (Schlog) Saseen; 2 sons, Philip Saseen (Denise) and Robert “Robbie” Saseen (Tammy) both of Wheeling; 6 grandchildren, Adam Saseen of Hilton Head, SC, Alex Saseen (Jackie), Jeremy Saseen, Jordan Saseen, Vanessa Saseen, and Ciara Saseen all of Wheeling; a great grandchild, Bodhi Saseen; 2 sister’s-in-law, Emma Lou Saseen of Wheeling, Marge Saseen of Wheeling and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Monday, Sept. 18, 2017 from 9:00 am until time of funeral mass at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, Wheeling. Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Additionally, a Memorial Mass will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017 at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church with Msgr. Bakhos Chidiac as celebrant.

I am so very sorry to hear that Bobby has passed away. He was a great friend of my Dad -- Sam Elias. Bob and Fran visited my Dad when he was hospitalized and have always been so wonderful. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
