Robert W. “Bear” DiBias, 67, of Wheeling, died Thursday, November 28, 2019 at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born June 21, 1952 in Wheeling, a son of the late Charles and Marion Palermo DiBias.
Bear was owner of Warwood Plumbing Co. for over 40 years, was a member of the Snake Club, Cave Club, Warwood Vets and the Foresters of Bridgeport and was Catholic by faith.
In addition to his parents, Bear was preceded in death by a brother, Charles “Premy” DiBias and a sister, Gladys DiBias.
Bear is survived by his loving wife Margarita DiCesare DiBias, three children; Mario (Lisa) DiBias of Martins Ferry, OH, Maria (Tim) Birdsong of Washington, PA and Marco DiBias of Wheeling, a sister; Maryann (Kevin) Hamilton of Latrobe, PA, 4 grandchildren; Mia and Nico DiBias and Keaton and Rocco Birdsong, several nieces and nephews and brother’s and sister’s in law.
Friends will be received on Monday, December 2, 2019 at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff St., from 1:00pm until 8:00pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 10:00am at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with Msgr. Joseph Peterson as celebrant.
