Ruth Mae (Kesselring) Westen, 94, of Moundsville, WV, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020, in Cameron Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Ruth was born November 11, 1925 in Marietta, OH, a daughter of the late Charles and Alice (Haught) Kesselring. She was a former employee of Kittle Hauling & Supply; a member of the Hillview Terrace Church of Christ, Moundsville and the Cameron Church of Christ. She loved her family and gave them everything.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded death by her husband, Charles W. Westen, Sr.; sons, Charles W. Westen, Jr., Donald L. Westen and Clarence B. Westen; daughters, Ruth Westen and Edith Haught; brothers, Donald, Paul, Wade & Glenn Kesselring; and a sister, Elizabeth Westen.

Ruth is survived by her grandson, Kristopher Haught of Moundsville; friends, George and Pam Messner of Moundsville; several nieces and nephews; and her many friends at the Hillview Terrace Church of Christ.

Friends will be received at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville, Monday, November 16, 2020, from 3 pm until time of funeral service at 5 pm, with Andy Robison officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the West Virginia School of Preaching, 1 Willard Avenue, Moundsville, WV 26041. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.altmeyerfuneralhomes.com.
