My thoughts and prayers are with Sam’s family. I got to know Sam and Deloris when I served on Moundsville City Council and at the Eagles. They were two of the kindest helpful people I ever met. I’m sure the are happy to be together again. Wrap yourselves in all those memories ..and know family was the most important thing to them. Rest In Peace, Sam

I am so sorry for Becky and Ginger on the passing of their father. Sam was a great fun loving guy. I always loved talking to him, and loved his sense of humor. He was so good to the kids at Christmas time, playing Santa Claus at the VFW. He will be missed by so many, but so many in heaven will be celebrating his arrival. He is now with his beloved family that passed on before him.

I didn’t know Sam; but I felt like I did through my conversations with his amazing daughter, Ginger. She cared for her dad through the good and the bad and kept a sense of humor about everything too. She loved him dearly and never stopped her tireless efforts of her non stop care. I know these last few months have been difficult and yet Ginger remained upbeat and positive and continued her work in the community. Her mom and dad raised her right and we reap the blessings of her kindness. I know Sam will be missed but yet there is that “ peace that passes all understanding” in knowing he rests and rejoices now with Jesus, our Lord and Savior. May His words bring you comfort: “ The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Taste and see the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him” Psalm 34:8; 18.
