As a niece from a family that didn’t live in West Virginia, I didn’t see Aunt Stella often, but I do remember family dinners over the Easter holidays when we came to visit. She was a warm and loving person, always interested in finding out what we (my siblings and I) were up to, and always seemed to be smiling. I remember her participating in the laughter between my Mom (Della Laidlaw), Aunt Helen (Wilson) and Grandma Kutis. Those ladies would chat and laugh while my sister and cousins, Maryanne and Joyce, would wash the dishes. I hope your memories of this wonderful woman bring smiles to your faces and help ease the sorrow in the days and weeks ahead.

As a child I recall how Aunt Stella always enjoyed sharing her baking talents. Anytime I came to visit she had goodies to share. We loved playing at her house sometimes because of her treats! Will miss you Aunt Stella!

Stells was the most caring, loving, and amazing lady i ever met. I remember when her kids had to hide her ladder because she wanted to climb it to get apples (i think it was apples) to make homade pies. Her Sunday dinners were by far the best food i ever had!!! I didnt get to visit her as often as i would of liked to, but when I did we would have tea and the best conversations. She always made me smile… I have no doubt that she is head Angel …… love you Stella.

Mrs. Kutis was a wonderful neighbor of ours for 33 years and we will miss her dearly. The neighborhood already feels empty without her. What an incredible life to celebrate and pay tribute.
