WILLIAMS, Thomas M. Jr. “Fuzz”, 76, of McMechen, W.Va., died Friday, September 7, 2018, in Ruby Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 6, 1942, in Wheeling, W.Va., a son of the late Thomas M. Williams Sr. and Clara Bell Williams. He was a retired police detective for the Wheeling Police Department and a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of the P.A.P. Club in Wheeling and the Wheeling Eagles Aerie 1891. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved music.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Carl Meyers and Robert Meigh, and his loving dog, Mitzi.

He is survived by his partner of 31 years, Linda Beatty; two sons, Thomas (Maria) Williams III of Calif., and Tim (Tina) Williams of Calif.; one stepson, Todd (Julie) Williams of Calif.; two sisters, Doris Meigh of Glen Dale, W.Va., and Dorothy Meyers of McMechen; Eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Monday, September 17, 2018, from 4-8 pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Benwood-McMechen Chapel, 214 Marshall Street, McMechen, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at 12 pm with Dr. Mitch Johnston officiating.
