Thomas William "Bill" Mitchell

Thomas W. “Bill” Mitchell, 75, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Friday, January 1, 2021 at Wheeling Hospital.

He was born October 10, 1945, a son to the late Harry and Blanche (Melott) Mitchell. Bill was a member of the Warwood Vets and was retired and loving life. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one daughter, Melissa Zucco, four brothers and two sisters.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Susan (Cooke) Mitchell; a daughter, Susan (Rick) Swisher; a son, Billy (Stephanie) Mitchell; grandchildren, Destinie, Cynthia, Gina, William and Ronnie; Great-grandchildren, Rileigh, Macie, Sophia and Olivia; dear friend, Jennifer Cochran and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 4 pm until time of service at 7 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, 1400 Eoff St.

Oh Sue! Dave and I were shocked to see that your husband had passed!
