William E. Schultz, 79 of Wheeling, died Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Liza’s Place.
He was born June 23, 1937 in the Warwood section of Wheeling, son of the late Lawrenced J. and Ella Long Schultz.
Bill was a former employee of the Clevite Corp. and retired from the legal section of the WV Division of Motor Vehicles.
He was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph and was a veteran of the Marine Corps.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Charles and Lawrence Schultz.
Bill is survived by his wife, Janice E. Hess Schultz, two daughters; Katherine A. Schultz of Charleston, WV, and Rebecca L. DeAngelo and her husband, Richard of Dubois, PA, two grandchildren; Kathryn and Joseph of Dubois, one niece and several nephews from the Pittsburgh, PA area.
Friends will be received on Friday, January 13, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff St., Wheeling.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 10:00am at the Cathedral of St. Joseph, with Msgr. Kevin Quirk as celebrant.
Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
