William Hanson Bardall, III, 72, of Moundsville, WV, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022.
Bill was born July 24, 1949, in Glen Dale, WV, a son of the late William Hanson Bardall, II and Agnes Jean (Sturm) Bardall. He graduated with honors from West Virginia University, with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Animal Husbandry. He retired from Marshall County Schools and was past president of the Mount Olivet Lions Club. He also loved fishing, farming, singing and telling stories.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Linda (Thomas) Bardall; a daughter, Rebecca (Bardall) Welch, and her fiance, Jerry Horstman of Freeport, OH; two sisters, Mary Pettit and her husband, Ronnie of Moundsville and Jean Marie Juergens and her husband, Freddie of Camilla, GA; two grandchildren, Caeden and Cormac Welch; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 5-8 pm, Friday, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville. Friends will then be received at the funeral home on Saturday, April 16, 2022, from 9 am until time of service at 11 am, with Pastor Mike Eskridge officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Rose Cemetery, Moundsville.

Mr. Bardall was the cook at Sherrard Junior High when I was a student there. He made out of this world pepperoni rolls. I am truly sorry to hear of his passing.
