William "Jay" Kuntz

William “Jay” Kuntz, 77, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born December 16, 1941, a son of the late Leonard and Mary Virginia (Paulus) Kuntz. Jay was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and a U.S. Army Veteran. He retired from United Electric, Local #141. Jay was one of God’s most faithful servants. His love of family, friend and “The Farm” was unparalleled. Jay was a man of excellence in everything, from electrician work to gardening and baking. He will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts and memories. Thank you for sharing your generous spirit with all of us.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his two brothers, Don and Robert Kuntz.
Jay is survived by his six siblings, John Kuntz of Wheeling, Sally Alig of St. Albans, WV, Sue Marple of Wheeling, Joe (Concetta) Kuntz of Wheeling, Darlene (Edward) Bryniarski of Lansing, OH and Terry (Mary) Kuntz of Wheeling and 29 nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday, January 1, 2019 from 3-7 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger St., with a vigil service at 6:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, January 2, at 11 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Parish School in C/O www.tmcfunding.com
