Wilma June Tucker

June 25, 1933 - March 19, 2019

Wilma June Tucker, 85, of Moundsville, WV, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV, surrounded by family.

She was born June 25, 1933, a daughter of the late Austin Dayton and Neva (Hall) Barker. Wilma was an active member in the Nazarene Church, where she was the treasurer for more than 25 years, led the Women’s ministry and Vacation Bible School. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and crocheting.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, William B. Tucker, her infant son, William Tucker Jr., and two brothers, Don Hall and Clarence Barker.

Wilma is survived by her three daughters, Connie Roberts of Charleston, WV, Charlotte (Swootzy) Hawk of Emerald Isle, NC, and Cheryl (Buzz) Bee of Moundsville, WV; seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Family and friends will be received Friday, March 22, 2019, from 4-8 pm, at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., where funeral services will be held, Saturday, March 23, at 2 pm, with Pastor Jim Higginson officiating. Interment will take place at Riverview Cemetery.
