Condolences for Sister Mairead (Patrick Joseph) Scanlon, CSJ
To the family of Mairead Patrick Joseph Scanion. My family sends their deepest sympathy to you. Our thoughts and prayers goes out to you. Isaiah 25:8.
I was in the 4th grade in 1971 at Lincoln Elementary in Parkersburg, WV. Miss Scanlon was my teacher and I have the most wonderful memories of her and her art classes. I even remember my father (who was a professional photographer) taking photos of her dog(s). I found my class photo this morning just so I could see her again. She was a most wonderful lady and she remains in my heart as one of my favorite teachers. My prayers for her family today is for peace and comfort and the knowledge that you will see her again. She blessed my life. Much love to her family
We were very saddened reading of Sr. Maireads' death. She was a good and faithful friend. To the community, her niece Pauline and nephew Tom, and their families, we offer our deepest and heartfelt sympathy. We will miss her very much. Thank God for having her presence in our lives. A good friend
Sr. PJ was my 7th & 8th grade teacher at All Saints. She was my inspiration for becoming a teacher myself (I retired after 36 yrs of teaching). She made learning fun and was such a caring, loving person. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to get to know her as an adult too. I'm quite sure "PJ" will be sitting at the right hand of God this Easter and what a well-deserved reward for her life.
My condolences to the family of Mairead Scanlon. The death of a loved one is so devastating and not always easy to get through it along. I found God's word the Bible helps. Philippians 4:6&7 hepls because it encourages us to turn to God in Prayer and he will give us Peace and Understanding as you endure this very difficult time. You can read this scripture online at www.jw.org
My heart is sad and joyful at the same time to think of the such a life so well lived by Sr. Mairead, such a graceful and caring Soul who lived her life for others. God has gained a true devoted soul. Rest in His peace Sister Mairead.
