Condolences to the Family of Claris. My wife Shirley worked with her for many years at OVGH/OVMC. Claris was a dedicated Nurse not only to her job but to the patients that she cared for. Rest In Peace Claris.

I joined the medical staff at OVMC in 1970. I worked with Claris over the years, first in the "old" ER, outpatient department, and on many hospital committees. She was a delightful, but no-nonsense nurse and co-worker,very knowledgeable, kind, and supportive. She was a great help to the Medical Residents. I am so sorry to learn of her passing. She will be missed.

Claris took me under her wing when I was a graduate nurse. She taught me how to do orders and be in charge. Working with her on old 3 South was an education I got that followed me through the many years I was an RN. I will never forget her. She was a wonderful nurse and mentor!

Clairs was one of a kind. What a great friend! I drove her caddy to the race track in Chester with friends for the Derby. Clairs (Sam as we called her) called me Cadillac Lil from then on. Lots of party’s, picnics and gatherings was what she loved to do. We had many gatherings in the yard on the corner. I’m gonna miss you my friend.

Our sincere and deepest condolences to the family and friends of Claris. We knew her and her husband Jimmy in our younger years. We grew up enjoying the singing and the entertainment of her husband Jimmy locally and at the Lebanese Festival. Denny Albaugh and Rita Sage

Claris was an a dear sweet lady , she was like my aunt , and she was a great piano student of mine , I would stay at her home when the weather was bad , she didn’t want me driving back to Moundsville , I would go to retirement dinners of OVMC like I was her daughter ,I loved her picnics at her home and her cooking, I have missed her greatly these passed years after her illness and she was in a care home . She is now reunited with her Jimmy . Rest In Peace sweet lady , until we meet again. ❤️
