John was my friend for longer than any other that I can remember. My family moved in across the street from the Catletts when I was 9 yrs old. Our families have been through many changes over the last 46 years, but we kept in touch through it all. John was my go to for advice, and my first son is named after him. We remained close over the years. He helped me in 2006 when my younger son died, and I did my best to help him when we lost his dad in 2008. Over all the years, together we have dealt with births, deaths and Steeler losses. For the rest of my life, all of my families happy and sad moments will be tempered by the memory of my best friend John. Love you forever...Jerry Dear MrsC, , You have always been a like a mom to me, I know what it's like to lose a son and I'm so sorry you lost yours. I know I will never take his place, but I want you to know that I have always thought of you as a second mom. Love Jerry

John was a fellow officer and friend. John insisted that I shoot his new Benelli shotgun in the police Olympics several years ago. I always remembered that. He was a classy guy. RIP

Dear Mrs C God certainly had purpose Jeff Fischer, Jerry Fischer, Nick Jung and John as part of the Catlett family! We have cried together, loved together, and the memories will always keep us together! Many things about tomorrow we don't seem to understand but we know who holds tomorrow and who holds our hand ! We were certainly gifted with Mom Catlett and her 4 boys ! We truly lived an unforgettable bucket list ! That's what true friends and family do ! Love always NICK Jung & the Amigo

Karen, I know words cannot express what you are feeling at the loss of your son, John Aaron. I know from how you talked about him that he was greatly loved and will be sorely missed. His obituary paints him as a loving, devoted son who accomplished much in his life cut too short long before his time. I’m sure you can take great pride in such a man. You know we are here for you and will do anything and everything we can to ease your heart ache now and in the tough times to come.

John was my friend. I didn't know him for long but he had a big influence on me. I met John when he started at Cabelas. We worked in the gun cage together and hit it off immediately. We shared the same interests in things and enjoyed laughing and conversing topics of the times. John and I would sit and talk at break time and lunch about all the experiences he had over seas and at home. I considered John someone to look up to and strive to be like. I will miss him greatly. John you were someone we should all try to be like. Till we meet again my friend.
